Bia Zaneratto sofre fratura por estresse e fica fora dos Jogos de Paris-2024

Anunciou que sofreu uma fratura por estresse no quarto metatarso e não terá condições de se recuperar até o início da competição

A atacante Bia Zaneratto está fora dos Jogos de Paris-2024. Um dos destaques da seleção brasileira de futebol feminino, ela anunciou que sofreu uma fratura por estresse no quarto metatarso e não terá condições de se recuperar até o início da competição

O comunicado foi feito por meio de suas redes sociais na noite deste domingo (30). A atleta revelou que vinha sofrendo há alguns meses com uma dor na fascite plantar próximo ao calcanhar.

"Sempre me considerei muito forte, uma pessoa que suporta a dor, me superei durante esses meses para conseguir jogar e ter a chance de estar em mais uma Olimpíada. Mas no último jogo acabei sofrendo uma fratura por estresse no quarto metatarso, o que me tira todas as chances de viver o sonho olímpico", diz texto publicado pela jogadora.

Atualmente, Bia defende o Kansas City Current, clube que disputa a National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), a liga profissional feminina dos Estados Unidos. Na última sexta-feira (28), ela esteve em campo na vitória de 2 a 0 da sua equipe sobre Houston Dash, mas precisou ser substituída ao final da primeira etapa.

Aos 30 anos, a atleta era nome certo na lista do técnico Arthur Elias para os Jogos de Paris. Das seis convocações que o treinador fez desde que assumiu a seleção brasileira feminina, Bia esteve presente em cinco listas.

A relação definitiva para a Olimpíada acontece nesta terça-feira (2), às 13h (horário de Brasília). Na coletiva, que será realizada na sede da CBF, no Rio, Arthur Elias vai anunciar as 18 atletas que vão representar o Brasil na competição.

O Brasil integra o Grupo C da competição. A estreia está marcada para o dia 25 de julho diante da Nigéria. A segunda partida da chave, no dia 28, vai ser contra a seleção japonesa. O Brasil encerra sua participação nesta etapa de classificação enfrentando a Espanha, no dia 31.
